Office

In mid-October 2004, MusEco took up residence in suite 162 of McDonald Hall on the campus of MSU Billings. This is where the Montana Business Incubator (MBI) is housed, an organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start and build technology-oriented businesses by providing them with the support and expertise that they need to traverse the rough spots inherent in starting up a successful organization.

The incubator was founded by the Big Sky Economic Development Authority and Montana State University Billings. Other partners include NASA and MSU TechLink. See www.mtbiz.org for lots more interesting information.

MBI accepted MusEco as a participant in the incubator despite the fact that MBI normally works with for-profit businesses. We are extremely grateful to them for doing so!

Suite 162 is a very nice 12x12 office where we have access to high speed internet, conference facilities and shared resources like a water cooler, a fridge, a printer, a fax, a copier and more. We also receive the cheerful help of Office Manager Donetta Graham, Executive Director Dave Stoltenberg and Administrative Assistant Amber Stoltenberg. We can’t even begin to tell you how great they have been to us!

McDonald Hall is only a five-minute walk to the MSU-B library (with its grants resource center), a six-minute walk to Yellowstone Public Radio, and only about a 22-minute walk / 10 minute bike ride from our house! Very convenient!

We pay a competitive rental rate and reasonable fees for certain services, but the cheery helpfulness of the staff, the use of the facilities and the great location make this an INCREDIBLE bargain! We can’t thank MBI enough for all they have done to make us feel at home and get us up and running. They have been GREAT!
